Building a Profitable DTC THC Spirit Brand

MXXN is a new hemp based THC infused spirit this launched in late 2023. Worked directly with the founder to pull a team of fractional resources together to successfully launch the full DTC presence and retail support for the brand.

SITUATION

WORK COMPLETED

  • Drove the setup of MXXN’s eCommerce site

  • Worked with lean team to set up paid media strategy (Meta/Google) and CRM strategy (Klaviyo)

  • Also set up operational processes for customer service, creative and retail outreach to launch the brand in select markets

  • Furthermore manage the P&L for the DTC business

RESULTS

  • Drove $270K in total revenue for the brand in it’s first full year of operations

  • Drove first order profitability with AOV > CAC

  • Drove repeat purchase rate of 30% while surfacing minimal discounts

  • Drove the launch of MXXN’s subscription program which now accounts for 30% of DTC revenue
